Lauren is a dedicated wife, mother, registered nurse, and proud resident of Baltimore County. Originally from New Jersey, she moved to Harford County in 2009 and later attended the University of Maryland in College Park, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She continued her education at Towson University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Lauren currently works as a registered nurse in a local hospital’s cardiac surgery department, where she is committed to delivering safe and high-quality health care to all. During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lauren demonstrated her commitment to public health by working on the front lines at the Baltimore Convention Center’s COVID Field Hospital, providing patients with life-saving support.
In June 2020, Lauren and her husband purchased their first home in Parkville where they now reside. Lauren has been actively involved in her community, serving as the President of the North Baltimore County Democratic Club since January 2022 and as a member of the Baltimore County Democratic Central Committee since April 2022. Organizing and participating in philanthropic ventures like cleaning up local nature trails, collecting food for local food banks, and gathering school supplies for Baltimore County children through local non-profits, Lauren gives back to the community she calls home one step at a time.
Coming from a military family, with a brother who has served as an infantry Marine for over 20 years and a mother who worked for the Department of Defense for over 40 years, Lauren deeply understands the importance of supporting our veterans.
As a health care worker, Lauren is a strong advocate for accessible and affordable health care for all Marylanders and believes in the urgent need to improve our mental health system. She is also passionate about environmental conservation and is committed to combating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to clean energy sources.
As a mother, Lauren is dedicated to ensuring that every child in Maryland receives a high-quality education. She believes in the necessity of investing in our schools and supporting our teachers while making sure that childcare is affordable. These are just a few of Lauren’s priorities.
